THANKSGIVING TOOLS

Accept some help this Thanksgiving! Besides delegating tasks to family and friends, you can lean on a few key tools to save you time and energy whether you’re hosting, taking a dish to Friendsgiving, or just whipping up a small feast for your significant other.

Each of these tools is available from Williams Sonoma.

All-Clad Roasting Pan – Elevating your turkey on this non-stick rack will promote even cooking and catch the drippings for your gravy. Comes in two sizes, depending on the weight of your turkey.

Gravy Separator – Once you’ve caught your drippings, let this heat resistant separator do the dirty work and strain the fat for you.

Thermometer – ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL for turkey success! This thermometer has two probes for monitoring different areas of the bird and alerts you when it’s done. It has 16 total meat settings for use the other 364 days of the year.

Multipurpose Baster – This 3 in 1 tool covers all your basting options with a traditional tip, a silicone brush and a “shower head” attachment. A complete spa experience for your bird.

Turkey Lifters – Yes, these are a thing. They’re super durable for lifting and plating your turkey, and they’re elegant enough to use for serving.

Injector – Inject big flavor fast. Includes two needles of differing thicknesses for thicker or thinner marinades. The needles store inside the tube when not in use.

Brining Bags – I’m not here for a brining debate, just to let you know that if you choose to brine the bird, these heavy duty bags won’t leak meat juice all over your kitchen.

Copper Peeler – A touch of elegance for the least glamorous job on Thanksgiving.

All-Clad Ladle – Use for gravies and sauces year round. Dishwasher safe and hangs for easy storage.

Potato Ricer – Three settings, fine, medium and coarse, allow you to make fluffy mashed potatoes on Turkey day and create a variety of other purees and sauces throughout the year.

Garlic Press – Mince garlic instantly without odors lingering on your hands. One of my all-time favorite kitchen gadgets.

Pastry Tool Set – I love a kit. Each of these items alone will up your pastry game, but put them all together and you’ll be a pro in no time.

Lattice Piecrust Cutter – Um, yes please. If all you’re bringing with you this year is your beautiful handcrafted pie, then by all means, weave that bad boy. But if you’re hosting 20 people and barely have time to brush your teeth, take the help! This is genius.

Seriously. Take some help from Williams Sonoma.

What am I missing? What’s your favorite shortcut during Thanksgiving prep?

Happy cooking and Happy Thanksgiving!
