Your slow cooker! Your crock pot. Whatever you call it, just pull it out and put it to work on Thanksgiving Day. It will do the following:
- Save you very valuable space. Anything that doesn’t require room in the oven is your friend.
- Ask nothing of you. With a little bit of prep work in advance, simply press “on” and walk away! So easy! Go do all the other things!
- Hold anything you want to keep warm. If you’ve just whipped up mashed potatoes or cornbread dressing, place them in a preheated slow cooker and put it on warm or low to hold until serving time.
The crock pot can make damn near anything you need it to on Thanksgiving. Like, even the turkey. And the pie. Look:

See? That’s everything. I think I need another cock pot.
